Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has approved the immediate removal of Mr. Tony Ikpasaja as Managing Director of the Edo Geographic Information Service (EDOGIS).
A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, directed the most senior officer in the agency to step in as Acting Managing Director pending the appointment of a substantive head.
The government said the decision was part of ongoing efforts to restructure and reposition EDOGIS for optimal efficiency, improved service delivery and enhanced institutional performance.
EDOGIS, which oversees land administration, geospatial data management and other related services in the state, has remained a central focus of the administration’s reform agenda aimed at strengthening public institutions.
The statement reassured the public of government’s commitment to professionalism, transparency and accountability across all ministries, departments and agencies.
